Working together to support employees and our local businesses Jobs in Central Hawke’s Bay reach 50 outcomes for end of financial year – ongoing funding for next financial year. The Central Hawke’s Bay District Council (CHBDC) has been successful in securing another round of funding through the Mayors Taskforce for Jobs to continue with our Jobs in Central Hawke’s Bay Initiative, connecting the dots between jobseekers and local businesses to achieve sustainable employment outcomes. Exceeding the annual objective of supporting 50 Youth (aged 16-24) or Covid-displaced workers into sustainable employment. While at the same time making numerous connections across our community to support other jobseekers into employment as well. Over the last 2 years, Jobs in Central Hawke’s Bay had been instrumental in helping over 320 jobseekers in Central Hawke’s Bay to secure further employment or training (182 of these job placements were measurable outcomes).
